Portugal to reach two million with first dose of vaccine

Portugal was today expected to hit the mark of two million people vaccinated with a first dose of vaccine against covid-19, said today the task force responsible for the vaccination plan.

It said more than 2.5 million vaccines have already been administered to the population.

According to the latest available figures, by 23:59 on Sunday, 1,933,854 people had been inoculated with the first dose, of which 652,874 had also received the second dose.

More than 184,000 teaching and non-teaching staff in public and private schools were vaccinated over the weekend.
