The report on vaccination against Covid-19 by the Directorate-General for Health (DGS), registers 7,330,505 residents in Portugal (71 percent) with at least one dose of vaccine administered and 6,403,987 people (62 percent) with a complete vaccination.

In the age groups from 65 years old, vaccination already covers almost the entire population: 99 percent have at least one dose administered and between 65 and 79 years old there are 97 percent of the population with a complete vaccination.

Until 8 August, 10,178 young people up to 17 years old had already been vaccinated with one dose.

From 18 to 24 years of age, vaccination advanced significantly from the previous week, with 34 percent of young adults having at least one dose of vaccine and 19 percent with a full vaccination.

The regional analysis shows that the central region and the Alentejo are the regions with the highest vaccination coverage, with 65 percent and 66 percent, respectively, of residents with full vaccination.

There are no regions in the country, including the autonomous regions, that currently have less than 60 percent of the resident population with full vaccination.
