The Directorate-General for Health (DGS) has today confirmed 11 more cases of infection with the Monkeypox virus since Wednesday, bringing the total number of people to 328 infected in Portugal.

"All confirmed infections are in men between the ages of 19 and 61, the majority being under 40 years old", says the DGS in a statement, adding that the new cases were confirmed by the Instituto Nacional de Saúde Doutor Ricardo Jorge (INSA).
Most infections were reported in the Lisbon and Tagus Valley area, but there were also cases in the North and Algarve.
