According to the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and the Atmosphere (IPMA), at maximum danger are the municipalities of Chamusca, Vila Nova da Barquinha, Constância, Abrantes, Tomar, Ferreira do Zêzere, Sardoal (Santarém), Vila de Rei (Castelo Branco), Loulé, São Brás de Alportel and Tavira (Faro).

The IPMA also placed several municipalities in all districts of mainland Portugal, except Viana do Castelo, at high and very high danger.

According to the IPMA, the fire danger will remain high in some regions of Portugal until at least Tuesday.

The calculations are obtained from the air temperature, relative humidity, wind speed and amount of precipitation in the last 24 hours.

The IPMA forecasts for today points to a small rise in the minimum temperature in the interior and in the eastern Algarve.

The minimum temperatures will fluctuate between 10 degrees Celsius (in Guarda, Bragança, Vila Real and Coimbra) and 18 (in Faro) and the maximum between 23 (in Porto and Viana do Castelo) and 34 (in Évora and Beja).
