According to the commander of the National Emergency and Civil Protection Authority (ANEPC) Pedro Araújo, the 30-year-old man was transported to the Hospital de São Francisco Xavier, in Lisbon.

The Civil Protection recorded, between 00:00 and 16:00 today, 719 occurrences related to bad weather in mainland Portugal, mainly floods and tree falls, while Firefighters reported another 65 occurrences in Lisbon.

As of 4:00 pm today, 320 floods, 187 tree falls, 134 road clearances and 63 structure collapses had been recorded.

The districts of Lisbon (245 occurrences) and Setúbal (61) were the most affected by bad weather.
