Compared to 2021, the brands that recorded the highest percentage growth in Portugal were Cupra (278.3%), Maserati (210.5%) and AlfaRomeo (177.6%). The total number of each make of car that was registered throughout the year was Cupra (1,218 units), Maserati (59) and Alfa Romeo (186).

Looking just at the month of September, Maserati had impressive numbers in Portugal, with 11 cars sold, which represents an increase of 450% in relation to the previous year. Cupra also registered more than 400% in units registered when compared to last year, while Fiat with 1,002 cars registered a growth of 296% compared to September 2021.

Of the brands that sold the most units, only Peugeot surpassed the 10,000 barrier. The French brand sold 12,718 cars, ahead of Mercedes-Benz (8,639) and Renault (8,221).
