This means that the shopping basket has already increased by more than 41 euros since the beginning of the war.
“In the third week of the year (January 18th), a basket of essential food goods can cost Portuguese families 224.67 euros. If we compare this figure with that recorded on February 23, the eve of the start of the armed conflict between Ukraine and Russia, the increase is 22.35%, that is, 41.04 euros more exactly for the same products".
Since the beginning of this year alone, the essential food basket monitored by DECO Proteste has already increased by 5.27 euros (2.40%).
