MEO disagrees with the fine of 2.5 million euros imposed by Anacom for "violation of the rules applicable to the termination of contracts" and will challenge the decision in court, the Altice Portugal company said.

"MEO confirms that it was notified of the decision by Anacom [Autoridade Nacional de Comunicações] to apply a single fine of 2,460,000.00 euros related to the practice of administrative offences, which occurred in the years 2015 and 2016".
In addition, "it disagrees (...) totally with the imputations made to it by Anacom in the process in question, for which reason it will challenge this decision in court", concluded MEO, in a note sent to newsrooms.

They should penalise further if they lose the appeal. Just like the government do when you lose a parking appeal.
