This will be the fifth proximity store of the brand in the centre of Lisbon and opens on the 28th of July.

“We want to support the neighbourhood and contribute to giving life to the typical neighbourhoods of Benfica, with the best of what we have to offer. We believe that this store will not go unnoticed and that it will be very appreciated by the residents of this parish”, stresses João Braz Teixeira, Managing Director of Expansion and Construction of ALDI Portugal, adding that “the location was designed to support the neighbourhoods in the area and the format was idealised to guarantee the greatest convenience, comfort and speed in day-to-day shopping.”

This will be ALDI's fifth proximity store in Lisbon – and its 133rd store nationwide – and follows on from its objective of strengthening its presence and proximity in the centre of the capital. By the end of the year, the company wants to double the number of stores it had in 2022 in the centre of the capital (three stores), reaching six proximity stores.

With the opening of the new store, Aldi will create 20 new jobs.
