The data compilation website also states that the "wage gap between men and women was, in 2021, lower in the Algarve (€133) and higher in AML (€277.6)".

This data refers to the average monthly earnings of employees.
You can't expect a different situation if the policy of cheap seasonal labour continues being implemented. The Portuguese in the Algarve don't work much and the government has no interest in developing any other industry but out dated tourism.
