In a statement issued today, the initiative’s organisers noted that this bathing area is part of the network of accessible beaches and features facilities and equipment, such as amphibious wheelchairs, that enable more inclusive use. However, they emphasised that it is “the presence of trained teams on the ground that ensures a truly complete, safe, and autonomous experience.”

Volunteer duties will include assisting with equipment use, providing personal support whenever requested, and collaborating on the management of the beach’s accessibility conditions—work performed in coordination with technical teams and partner organisations.

Volunteers will receive initial training comprising both theoretical and practical components, focused on safety, appropriate interpersonal interaction, and providing support for individuals with reduced mobility.
