8 aircraft and 147 firefighters are mobilised to combat a wildfire burning in a wooded area in Varges, in the municipality of Murça, in the district of Vila Real, according to Civil Protection.

According to the website of the National Emergency and Civil Protection Authority (ANEPC), the alert for the fire was given at 12:51 pm and, at 3:50 pm, 147 firefighters, supported by 38 vehicles and 8 aircraft, were mobilised to fight the fire.
The fire is developing in a wooded area in Varges, in the parish of Noura and Palheiros, and, according to information gathered by the agency from local sources, there are no villages at risk at the moment.
