Famous for hits including ‘I need a Dollar’ and the smash dance tune ‘Wake me Up’, Aloe Blacc was the artist chosen to mark what is being deemed as a new era for the Pine Cliffs following a year’s hiatus for a multi-million-euro renovation and expansion exercise.
Guests, many of them now regulars at the intimate event, enjoyed a buffet or sit-down meal while being entertained at their tables by acts including the fantastic covers band Sisters G.
Following a speech by newly-appointed General Manager Thomas Schoen, Aloe Blacc took to the stage in a burst of groove and soul that after a few numbers got the audience to their feet.
The evening was rounded off with the traditional spectacular firework display for which the event has become renowned.
