The Azores Regional Government has announced the creation of a national and international campaign in which children aged up to 12 will not pay for flights to the region, as a way of re-launching tourism following the covid-19 pandemic.

The proposal is part of a set of 250 measures on the agenda for the post-pandemic social and economic recovery of the archipelago.

The initiative will take effect in the second half of this year.
