According to Faro Council the intervention to renovate the site will cost in the region of €450,000 and will start in September or October.
The council said it wants to wait until after summer for work to start to spare tourists any inconvenience, and the aim is for the site to be ready to reopen next year.
Dear Portugal News,
its a shame that the article you've written lacks 'content' for its users of the "campsite". Where is this alleged 'campsite' in Faro? Who's their client base? You support your Headliner with a photo of 'Motorhomes' only... all tightly parked up as if they are parked in a Motorhome Aire - not a campsite .. So which is: a campsite that has land to pitch a tent, caravan, moho etc... or a Motorhome park with limited facilities?? Also the issue here is one that you failed to mention if its a Motorhome Park only... the High season for 'Motorhome stays' is the Winter season.. hence for the Council to start building it after the summer season and for it to 'open' in the following New Year, is actually when the majority of Motorhomes are looking for a place to park up for the night, instead of wild camping and putting themselves at risk of harm or annoying the locals with parking in residential streets. I would recommend that you follow this issue up with the Faro Council and do a full report please. Otherwise its just a puff piece and a space holder!
thank you :-)
