Bloom Consulting says Faro’s good results stem from its regional success in the business and living categories, which stand the city as one of the best in Portugal.
Nationally, Faro ranks 12th best city to live in and 15th best to invest in.
In terms of visiting, the Algarve’s largest city ranks 10th nationally and fifth regionally.
The Bloom Consulting Portugal City Brand Ranking classification analyses the efficiency of 308 Portuguese municipalities and is topped by Lisbon, followed by Oporto and Braga.
The ranking is based on official statistics and online research and analyses variables such as the number of new businesses, hotel occupancy rates, unemployment, crime and buying power in each of the municipalities, compared with a national average.
