A man was identified by the Moimenta da Beira investigation group from the GNR for possession of weapons that had been stolen from the Swiss army and were buried near the residence of two defendants detained in Switzerland.

In a statement, the GNR clarifies that, in addition to weapons - six shotguns -, it seized uniformed material from the Swiss army, 14 bicycles of various brands, which had also been stolen in Switzerland and were spread over several garages and warehouses, and seized two motorcycles.

The procedural steps taken in the municipality of Vila Nova de Paiva by the Territorial Command of Viseu had been requested by the Swiss judicial authorities.

"The suspect was constituted accused and the facts referred to the Judicial Court of Sátão", adds the GNR.
