Within the list there are 40 people that disappeared and were never found. Elderly people with any psychological disease are the most common to disappear without leaving traces.
Madeleine McCann and Rui Pedro are included on the list, two of the most mediatic children disappearances in Portugal.

In Portugal an average of 4,000 people disappears per year, in which 1,400 are children. Although, the percentage of crime related disappearances is small. Mostly the cases are related to teenagers that snuck out their houses or people who commit suicide.

Why is the English always so bad in these articles? Doesn't somebody have the wit to amend literal translation into something more readable.
