More than 2000 people have signed a petition against “intensive agriculture” in southwest Portugal.

«Together for the Southwest» is the name of the movement created by a group of citizens from Odemira and Aljezur, which launched the petition.

The movement defends "that the State should prohibit the installation of more intensive undercover or open air agricultural areas, until all the serious problems caused by this industry in the municipalities of Odemira and Aljezur have been resolved".
