Reports in Brussels this morning are that Lisbon will be issued a fine half the maximum amount of 0.2 percent of its GDP, which would see it having to pay 180 million euros to the EU.


Prime Minister António Costa admitted last night that things weren’t looking good for Portugal, but said the country would take Brussels to the European Justice Tribunal in the event of any financial penalties being imposed on Lisbon.
