"It seems important to us to make the most of the investments that have been made in Lisbon’s Portela airport when reporters asked about the “Portela plus one” project that foresees a secondary airport for the capital.
The prime minister said that eventually a completely new airport may have to be built, as was on the books before the economic crisis and the arrival of the troika with their €78 billion bailout, but Portela plus one would do perfectly well for at least another six or seven years.
The primew minister was on the south bank on Tuesdat as part of the general election campaign to drum up votes for 4 October.
