Lisbon: High cloud cover will blanket the capital for Christmas day and Boxing Day with a possible shower on Christmas morning and heavier rain due to fall from Sunday onwards. Temperatures will hover in the mid-teens for the foreseeable future.
South: Southern Portugal can expect a bright if somewhat cool Christmas day followed by a rather blustery weekend and showers on Sunday and Monday, although New Year’s Eve should stay dry and thermometers will peak at 17 degrees Celsius.
North: Oporto will bear the brunt of the wintery weather and while the Christmas weekend is looking dry and unseasonably warm, with temperatures in the high teens, the ensuing week is forecast to be wet and cool with New Year’s Eve looking particularly rainy.
