Wet but mild weekend

Most places in Portugal will be spared rain on Saturday before the clouds roll in on Sunday.

Heavy rain with intermittent sunshine is expected in the capital on Saturday however the rain is to ease for Sunday and temperatures are to reach highs of 17 degrees and lows of 11 degrees on both days. Monday and Tuesday are to be dry but the rain clouds are to return by Wednesday.

The north
It is to be a wet weekend in the north with the heaviest of showers predicted for Sunday and temperatures to reach highs of 14 degrees and lows of 9 degrees. Rain is predicted for the rest of the week although temperatures are to remain steady with highs of 15 degrees and lows of 9 degrees.

The centre
Rain clouds on Saturday are to clear by Sunday with weekend temperatures averaging highs of 12 degrees and lows of 7 degrees. It is to remain dry for Monday and Tuesday with the wet weather returning on Wednesday although temperatures are to rise slightly to highs of 13 degrees.

The south
Wet weather on Saturday is to clear in the south by Sunday with temperatures reaching highs of 18 degrees and lows of 9 degrees. It is to remain dry on Monday and Tuesday before rain returns on Wednesday, although it will remain mild with average highs of 17 degrees and lows of 9 degrees.
