"There will only be isolation in the case of cohabitants with people who test positive, which means, for example, that a contact in a work environment, as long as it is not cohabitant, does not call for isolation," said the Prime Minister.
António Costa was speaking at the Ajuda Palace, in Lisbon, after a meeting of the Council of Ministers that evaluated the evolution of the pandemic and the measures that should remain in force after10 January, after, the day before, having heard the experts at a meeting at Infarmed.
The Prime Minister also said that, as a result of the new DGS regulation, "since yesterday [i.e. Wednesday 5 January], 267,315 people who were in isolation have seen their isolation ended or reduced".
Among the measures announced are the maintenance of the compulsory telework until 14 January.
