According to a report by Dinheiro Vivo, datat regarding motorhomes was provided by the Associação Automóvel de Portugal (ACAP) and reflect the growth of the motorhome business in Portugal.
According to ACAP, in 2021, 472 vehicles were sold. This number compares with the 380 vehicles sold in 2020 and the 284 sold in 2019, showing that compared to the pre-pandemic year, 2021 was synonymous with a 66 percent jump.
In the second-hand market, the demand for motorhomes has also exploded, says Dinheiro Vivo. “During the spring and summer [of 2020], demand increased considerably”, indicates OLX, which reveals that from April to July of that year there was a 400 percent increase. In 2021, the growth in demand for motorhomes was lower — but still considerable: from April to July, sales rose by another 150 percent.
People want to travel and see more of Europe at the same time being flexible and independent. MHs are a fun way of seeing new places without having to stay at hotels. All over Europe the sales are booming and in fact there is a long waiting list to get a new one.

By the way housing prices are going, living in motor homes may be the only alternative. How proud Portugal must be to sell over priced property to the wealthy (who leave their villas empty), for having made Lisbon a hollow city of AirNbs and for not giving a flip about dignified housing for its own citizens.

Wait for the price to crash as diesel and gasoline are phased out.

Dreadful parasites that park wherever they want.Throw rubbish and excrement everywhere and clog up the roads.

I strongly object to being called a parasite. It is totally wrong to compare everyone that owns a Motorhome as parasites because of a few irresponsible people. I served in the Royal Marines for 7 years. It is very easy to make comments behind a tablet, phone.
