Created by the municipality in collaboration with the Algarve Film Commission, the Loulé Film Office's mission is to “facilitate and mediate between projects and access to locations and scenes in the municipality” and announced that the procedure to support audiovisual production in 2024 is open and will finance five projects with a maximum of 20,000 euros each.
The Loulé Film Office stressed, in a statement, that the measure will support “fiction and documentary feature films, medium and feature-length animation films and series to be broadcast on television or other audiovisual support”.
Candidates must fall into two categories, one of which is called “Industry Section” and which will finance work “that takes place mainly in the municipality of Loulé and in which 50% of the team is resident in the Algarve”.
The other category is called “Territory Section” and it will include “projects whose themes are related to Loulé”, promote the territory in an “original way” and value “the safeguarding of heritage, culture and traditions, as well as the development of local economy”, added the Loulé Film Office.
Applications will be open until February 29th and interested parties can send proposals to Loulé City Council, through the Loulé Film Office.
