The problem in Portugal is that no water is collected. When it rains, all the water simply runs into the sea. No rainwater wells anywhere.....

Indeed, why isn’t the use of rainwater promoted in Portugal? It could help every household a lot in summertime.

I have many friends both expat and Portuguese who save rainwater in 1000lts tanks,this helps during hot weather with gardens,animals and pool top ups,I have 2 thousand ltrs of exterior water saved during the winter months.
