According to forecasts from the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and the Atmosphere (IPMA), the forecast for this Wednesday, November 19th, is for "north quadrant wind, sometimes strong on the coast and in the highlands, morning fog or mist, and a drop in temperature". Inland, there may even be frost.

The Institute says that today there is a slight drop in temperature, more significant in the maximum. By the end of the day, there will be "a marked drop in nighttime temperatures."

For Greater Lisbon, periods of very cloudy skies are expected today, becoming generally less cloudy from late afternoon onwards. Regarding temperatures, a maximum of 16ºC and a minimum of 9ºC are forecast.

In Greater Porto, the forecast is similar, as is the maximum temperature. The minimum temperature will drop slightly to 6ºC.

Guarda and Bragança will be the coldest districts with maximum temperatures of 9ºC and 11ºC, respectively. Regarding minimum temperatures, Guarda will register 2ºC while Bragança will be the coldest region with a minimum of 0ºC.

Further south, Faro will be the warmest district with a maximum of 20ºC and a minimum of 10ºC.

The cold weather arrives today and is here to stay, at least until Saturday, which will be the coldest day of the week. Minimum temperatures are expected to range between -3ºC in Bragança and 7ºC in Faro on Saturday. Rain is expected to return next week.
