According to a company official, "there will be restrictions in air space with a significant impact on the normal management of traffic flows" as a result of Trident Juncture 2015, which is said to be the largest exercise undertaken by NATO since the end of the Cold War.
The exercise is taking place between 21 October and 6 November, in three periods during the day each day, and will affect both civilian flights over Portugal and arrivals at and departures from its airports.
The company said that it is making every effort to limit the impact on its flights.
The NATO operation is to unfold in 16 scenarios in Portugal, Italy and Spain, with half of them in the latter's territory. In Portugal, the most visible part is to be in Beja, Santa Margarida, Troía and Setúbal - all in the central and southern part of the country.
