The Prime Minister has announced that the government is going to increase the number of inspection actions to comply with remote working and added that there are many places where this type of work is possible, but aren’t currently complying.

“Where remote work is mandatory, it really will be respected”, said António Costa, at the press conference to announce new measures to combat the increase in the number of infections by covid-19, decided in the Council of Minister.

According to António Costa, the Minister of Labour, Solidarity and Social Security, Ana Mendes Godinho, has already given authorisation for “effective action to verify compliance with the mandatory remote work regime”
