According to the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF), Portugal will debut against the Norwegian team on February 16, in Lagos, and will face Sweden, second in the world ranking and Olympic runner-up, on the 20th, at the Algarve Stadium.

“We have two games ahead of us with a high degree of difficulty and demand. Norway and Sweden are teams that regularly fight for titles in European and world championships. Like our team, they are playing for qualification for the World Cup. It is the opportunity to understand the current state of our team, in view of the two qualifying games that we will have in April”, said the national coach, Francisco Neto, in statements released by the FPF.

The call-up of the Portuguese national team for the Algarve Cup will be announced on February 7.

Denmark and Italy complete the group of five teams that will be in competition, in a format in which the two teams with the most points and the best goal difference after two games go to the final, scheduled for the 23rd.
