With this in mind, Atena Language School in Tunes organises bi-annual visits for their students of Portuguese as a Foreign Language, with their latest visit being to Loulé.

Last Friday morning, the students enjoyed a tour of the city, including a museum and a few other buildings of interest, organised by Walk with Sue. After lunch, a visit to the Salt Mine proved not only to be very informative, but great fun for all.

Previous visits have included Olhão, Faro, São Brás Cork Factory, Portimão Museum and Quinta dos Vales Vineyard. There was also a degustation event last year at the centre in Tunes, where students had the opportunity to taste a variety of Portuguese soups, mains and desserts, topped up with a glass of Port Wine. All in the name of culture, of course!
