Nine industrial plots are at stake, explains the municipality in a statement from the Viana do Castelo district.

According to the municipality, those interested have until 27 February to submit their applications.

The City Council explains that, “in order to strengthen the business fabric of Monção, the criteria for allocating plots are based on three factors,” one of which is having the registered office/tax residence in the municipality (50%). The evaluation will also consider the length of time in operation (40%) and the number of jobs (10%).

“Equipped with aggregating services that promote industrial symbiosis and a circular economy, the new business development proves attractive for attracting new investments, both for the functional conditions it offers and for its geographical proximity to Galicia,” the municipality summarises.
