“We have already recovered 100% of our customers, with only a few specific situations remaining that will be resolved very soon, but I think the worst is over,” said Miguel Stilwell d’Andrade, in a teleconference with analysts as part of the presentation of the 2025 results.

The manager recalled that Portugal was hit by “a series of devastating storms” that began at the end of January and extended into February, with winds exceeding 200 kilometres per hour, causing “unprecedented physical damage to the country’s infrastructure,” including electricity grids and company assets.

The storm affected approximately 6,000 kilometres of network and damaged about 5,800 towers, with around 2,400 people mobilised on the ground, including teams from Spain, Brazil, France, and Ireland.

The manager emphasised that the response was "immediate," with "very coordinated and large-scale" support from internal and external teams. "We had people coming from Spain, Brazil, France, and Ireland," he said, thanking the teams from the networks and hydroelectric plants, who "worked non-stop to limit the damage caused by the storm and restore power to our customers."
