The president of the Algarve Football Association, Carlos Alves Caetano, has whole heartedly supported the decision of the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) and said, “in the face of the tragic events that have devastated several regions of the country, the Algarve joins with a great spirit of solidarity this decision of the FPF to play these games in two regions most affected. Moreover the income derived from the games will benefit the families affected by the fires.”
