According to Super Bock and Live Nation, the partnership between the brand and the promoter begins on September 5, 2026, with a concert by The Weeknd at Restelo Stadium in Lisbon.

"Super Bock Super Rock is evolving from its traditional three-day summer festival to a series of concerts throughout the year, starring true global music phenomena," the statement reads.

The new format for the festival, which first took place in 1995, "is a response to new trends in live music consumption."

Super Bock and Live Nation justify their decision by saying that festival-goers increasingly value "exclusive, unique experiences that are intimate with the artists," seeking to "experience them continuously."

For shows under the Super Bock Super Rock (SBSR) label, there will always be "a ticket pre-sale and several exclusive initiatives to be revealed soon, which promise to extend the experience beyond the stage."

Ticket pre-sale for The Weeknd's show begins on October 15th at www.superbocksuperock.com.pt

Since its first edition, SBSR has been held in various locations. In 1995, it took place at the Alcântara Maritime Station in Lisbon. Since then, it has been held, among others, at the Algés Promenade in Oeiras, at Tejo Park and Parque das Nações, both in Lisbon, and at Herdade do Cabeço da Flauta, near Meco Beach, in Sesimbra.
