In a statement, the Ministry of Internal Administration (MAI) explains that the extension of the deadline, from April 30 to May 31, was determined by Decree-Law (DL) 20/2020, published in Diário da República, which amends exceptional and temporary measures related to the pandemic of the covid-19 disease.
Government gives owners another month to clean land

It is good to have this law of cleaning the land for high risk of fire.
I am living in a house in Mexhilhoeira Grande where my neighbour property is full of high trees near my house. Nobody lives on this property.
I have tried to get the trees cut by going through the firedepartment since July 2019. They got a company to do it, but only some small trees were cut in October 2019. Everything cut down was left on the ground as kindlings.
The high trees which is the biggest threat was not cleaned or cut down. They are about 10 to 15 meter from the house and are about 20 meter high.
I have been in contact with the firedepartment almost weekly. Nothing happens. Several times, I have been told that someone will come to do the work. No one has showed up.
I feel that nobody really cares about the high risk of fire that can start any day here.!!!

its ok to force ownets to cutting down weeds, without its trees and flowering bushes Portugal would be unbearable.

Fallen trees , many years reported as fire hazard to inframoura. Nothing done to remove them unsightly as well as being tinder dry for fire. Caminho da lebre. Sent photos to inframoura, visited office. No action taken.
